Scandinavian Prime Ministers praise Thailand for tsunami relief efforts

The Prime Ministers of the three Scandinavian nations praised Thailand for the tsunami relief efforts, while visiting the devastated area in Phuket and Phang-nga province on 17th January 2005.
      Exactly three weeks after the disaster which claimed the lives of several thousands of Scandinavians, the three Prime Ministers witness the ongoing clean-up operation in Takua Pa area with Thailand’s Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra.
      The heads of three Scandinavian nations today thanked the Thai government for helping the thousands of their nationals who survived last month’s tsunamis
      The three leaders praised the Thai government for helping the survivors and the compassion shown by Thai people.
      The Thai government also assured that Thailand will continue to search for the bodies of the 3,100 people who still missing, over 1,000 are believed to be Scandinavian.
