Norwegian Minister leads Scandinavian Church renovation

The Scandinvian Church on Sukhumvit Soi 33 was during the month of June renovated by a group of volunteers from the congregation under the guidance of the Norwegian Minister Gro Haaversen Barth.
Apart from Gro and her husband Magne, the volunteers included Haldor Sandtorv, Anders Fossberg, Bodil and Jan Evensen, Robert Kronberg, Kjersti Mathiesen and the Thai staff at the Church.
With paint donated from Jotun (Thailand) Ltd., the volunteers painted the outside terrace area to the right of the house, the dining room inside and the kitchen. The terrace was expanded with a new concrete cast area and similarly, the area next to the garage was expanded. Eventually, an espallier will also be erected here.
Behind the Church, an outside working space for the kitchen was established and a canopy was put up above it to shelter the area from rain.
The total cost was about 55.000 Baht. Apart from the paint, members of the congregation had contributed 12,000 Baht in cash to the renovation.
