Lao radio stations receive SIDA’s assistance

The Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA) on May 16 provided technical assistance to radio stations of Savannakhet and Luang Prabang provinces as part of the local radio station improvement project.
The aid items consist of radio broadcasting equipment that will help the local radio stations reach wider areas so that people living in the remote and mountainous regions can listen to radio programmes broadcasted from the stations more clearly.
The hand-over ceremony was held in Luang Prabang and attended by Vongchanh Phomsavane, Vice Governor of Luang Prabang province and SIDA representatives and officials.
