A Perfect Score and Other Outstanding Results for KIS Class of 2014

Here at KIS International School we are all incredibly proud of the excellent academic results achieved by the graduating class of 2014, says Linda Belonje, Director of Marketing and Development at KIS International School.

“This year’s graduating class scored an impressive average score of 35 points on their IB Diplomas. This is well over the global average of 29.1 points and better than 80% of all students worldwide attempting the diploma,” Linda Belonje says.

“We would like to give a special mention to Earn Kaweeyanun who achieved a perfect score of 45 points. Earn’s results place him in the top 0.1 percent of all IB Diploma takers in 2014 across the world which is a remarkable achievement!”

Other notable achievements include a pass rate for KIS students of 96%, compared to 79% of students worldwide, 4 students (out of 24 students) achieved over 40 points. Nine of the awarded diplomas were in the top 10% of diploma takers worldwide, and 4 were in the top 4 percent. With their impressive academic achievement, the graduates were accepted at 85 top universities around the world and they received scholarships to these universities worth more than 1 million US Dollars.

In the UK this year’s KIS graduates were accepted at: Imperial College London, King’s College London, Lancaster University, Durham University, University of Edinburgh, Royal Holloway- University of London, University of Birmingham, University of Kent, University of Manchester, University of Nottingham, the University of Surrey and many more.

In the US KIS students were accepted at: University of California at Davis, Rhode Island School of Design, University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, Pennsylvania State University, Syracuse University, University of Massachusetts Boston, University of Wisconsin, Madison and many others.

Some of the notable universities around the world our class of 2104 students will be attending are: University of Queensland, Australia, University of Victoria, Canada, The University of Tokyo, Japan and Erasmus University, The Netherlands.
