Danes Worldwide, a global association working to assist and improve rights for Danes living abroad, celebrates the dual citizenship law coming into force September 1st. On the same occasion this years ‘Dane of the world’ will be announced.
The event takes place in JP/Politikens House at Rådhuspladsen in Copenhagen. About the price of this years ‘Dane of the world’, the organization writes:
The price of this years ‘Dane of the world’ goes to a Dane, who has made a special and visible effort to mark Denmark and Danish values abroad. Along with the title, the winner receives a statue designed by Danish glass artist Stig Persson.
