Danish ambassador visited Istiqlal Mosque

On 26 September Denmark’s Ambassador Rasmus Abildgaard Kristensen was kindly welcomed by the Grand Imam Prof. Nasaruddin Umar at his first visit to the largest mosque in South East Asia, Istiqlal Mosque. He was shown around the beautiful complex and got a glimpse of the Cathedral of Jakarta, which is placed just next to the mosque as a symbol of interfaith tolerance.

Rasmus and Prof. Umar had a good talk about religion and interfaith dialogue. Moreover, they discussed the future collaboration between Denmark and Indonesia and the possibilities of promoting tolerance and freedom of religion.
