Finnish School has been in Singapore since 1982. School children are taught in Finnish 4-year-olds at secondary school classes up. The school is a voluntary (supplementary), for primary school-aged children participating in international or local schools in teaching. Classes are held on Tuesdays at 16.15-18.00 Overseas Family School (OFS) areas.
Finnish School is very important to children living in Singapore as their parents. The school is taught in Finnish language and culture, and the older age groups also study the history of Finland, and environmental information. Finland-school children’s parents meet on a weekly basis. Many parents also participate in school activities as teachers, as assistant teachers and school committee members.
