Annika Ben David, Sweden’s Ambassador-at-large for Human Rights, Democracy and the Rule of Law visited representatives from government, academia and organizations in Singapore on Friday, 1 February 2019.
During the visit, the Ambassador met with representatives to ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission for Human Rights led by Barry Desker and Dr Sashi Jayakumar.
Annika Ben David was previously Sweden’s Ambassador in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and has previously worked on human rights issues at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs. As Ambassador for Human Rights she now represents Swedish policy in international organisations and in contacts with other countries.
