When a Norwegian woman went on stage to give a show together with Thai go go dancers at the Pink Panther bar in Patong’s Soi Seadragon on Phuket it became too much – for a couple of Norwegian tourists!
The tourists took pictures of the show and filed a complaint with the police over the “shameful performance”, reports the local Phuket paper Phuket Gazette.
At first the Pink Panther bar was fined 2,000 baht, then the Governor, Pongpayome Vasaputi, intervened and ordered the bar to close from November 30 to December 30.
Somporn Tansakul, 41, who was running the bar on behalf of the owner, Sakorn Kornsawan, 34, said he thought tourists would like the show.
But the Governor said, “It was a shameful show. That’s why I decreed the bar to close for a while, as a warning,” the Phuket Gazette reports.
