NeraTel signs orders worth 62 Mill. NOK

NeraTel, Singapore in April signed three new contracts worth a total of 62 Mill NOK. Two of the orders worth 44 Mill NOK were with two mobile telecom operators in the Philippines for so-called SDH-equipment used for transmission of telecom signals and related services. The third contract worth 18 Mill NOK was with the telecom authorities of Thailand.
The equipment is to be delivered by Nera ASA’s fully owned subsidiary, Nera Networks.
The new orders confirm earlier statements issued by Nera that the company’s order intake in South East Asia remains stable despite a generally difficult market situation for transmission equipment and services.
Nera’s fully owned subsidiary in Indonesia, P.T. Nera Indonesia in February signed a contract with P.T. Telekomunikasi Selular worth 55 Mill NOK for similar SDH equipment as for the three new orders, including project management, maintenance support, training and other services.
The Indonesian order was an extension of an existing contract with P.T. Telekomunikasi Selular which holds a license to operate a nationwide GSM network in Indonesia.
