Denmark based group to create a Cambodian exile government

knlfThe Khmer National Liberation Front (KNLF) with leader and headquarters located in Hundested, Denmark is planning to create an exile government as soon as possible.

The KNLF has announced that they and delegates representing Cambodian citizens from the home country and abroad are going to meet Friday the 12th December with the intention to discuss, agree and adopt a new constitution in order to establish a Cambodian government in exile, Phnom Penh Post reports.

The leader of KNLF Sam Serey is a refuge who lives in Denmark. Earlier in 2014 a Cambodian court found him guilty of treason and plans to overthrow the government for which he was sentenced to 9 years in prison. A trial the NGO Human Rights Watch called politically motivated and without foundation in reality.

Sam Serey claims to work peacefully on informing the world about the situation in Cambodia, and according to Danish newspaper Berlingske Tidende, Sam Serey has earlier been meeting with former Danish Foreign Minister Per Stig Møller and the Danish Ambassador to Thailand and Cambodia.

  2. Cambodia, like Laos, is a Vietnamese puppet state. Ho Chi Minh was fighting “western imperialism” just to establish his own empire. Ho was the Milosevic of South East Asia. Milosevic went to prison – Ho got away with it. –
