Hospital Apologizes for “Honest Mistake”

Patong Hospital in Phuket which on Friday informed ScandAsia that the body of a deceased Dane, Kenneth Schou was till in their morgue unclaimed by both the wife and the Danish Embassy, on Tuesday 6 May apologizes profusely for their wrong information.
“We referred everything from our records and all papers confirmed that he was still in the hospital but when we re-checked we found out that the body was actually claimed and sent to Denmark on 25th of April,” the Head of the Department said.
“I wonder how this could happen, but it did.”
It was only when ScandAsia insisted, that according to Danish Ambassador Michael Sternberg, the body was transported back to Denmark on 25 April, that the hospital decided to check if their medical records were correct and the body was still in their morgue or the Embassy was right and the body was actually gone.
