On Sunday night, a cyclist at a road in Malmo, Sweden noticed that someone sent a green laser beam at him.
The cyclist turned off the road and watched as another passerby was the next victim of the laser pointer.
They called the police and could point out where the green laser beam had come from.
When police later made a visit to the apartment in question, it appeared that there was an 8-year-old boy playing with the laser pointer in the window.
The laser pointer had a strength of 30 milliwatts (mW) and had been bought by the father in Thailand. In Sweden, a permit is required for laser pointers with strengths from 5 mW and up.
The father is now charges with violating the Radiation Protection Act.
