Malaysia joins Indonesia, Norway, and Qatar in backing a UN resolution to expel Israel if it violates international law, The Star reports. Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim says the coalition, which includes Egypt, Namibia, and Saudi Arabia, is drafting a proposal to seek an opinion from the International Court of Justice on Israel’s duty to allow UN agencies into the Occupied Palestinian Territories.

The coalition plans to bring the resolution to the UN General Assembly soon. Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim reaffirms Malaysia’s commitment to supporting the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) as Israel restricts its operations in Gaza and the West Bank. Malaysia contributes $5.8 million USD to UNRWA and is discussing further support for Palestinian refugees.
