Danish artist and designer Victor Miklos Andersen has returned to Shanghai with a new exhibition said to be exploring the relationship between ritual, healing and contemporary art.
The exhibition is being shown at 768 Gallery in Shanghai and will run until 21 June. It forms part of Andersen’s residency at NONAME STUDIO.
Built around the concept of a fictional clinic, the exhibition examines how rituals and healing practices can be interpreted through contemporary art.
The exhibition follows Andersen’s previous Shanghai exhibition, which was held last autumn.
To mark the artist’s return, Danish Consul General Jens Alsbirk and his wife, Hanne Alsbirk, hosted a dinner at their residence.
The gathering brought together members of Shanghai’s art and cultural community. Guests had the opportunity to meet the artist and exchange views on art and culture.
Andersen’s latest exhibition adds to the growing presence of Danish artists and designers in China’s contemporary art scene.
