A Swedish judge recently acquitted a man for drunk driving due to this Asian ethnicity even though the man’s blood alcohol content (BAC) was eight times over the legal limit, according to the Swedish newspaper Nerikies Allehanda. 
The judge said lack of evidence of drunk driving wasn’t the only thing that influenced his decision. He said he read on the internet that Asians are genetically predisposed to process alcohol differently compared to western Europeans as they have a completely different metabolism.
