After a recent resignation of former DanCham’s Executive Director, a job application for the vacant post has been announced.
Position: Executive Director
Location: Phayathai Road, Ratchathewi
The Danish-Thai Chamber of Commerce (DTCC) was established more than 20 years ago and today has more than 170 corporate and individual members. It is the largest Nordic Chamber in Thailand. DTCC also plays an active role in both the European Asean Business Centre (EABC) as well as the Joint Foreign Chambers (JFCCT). The Chamber furthermore runs a dynamic website, www.dancham.or.th and publishes a popular E-News Letter. DTCC caters extensively to its members needs by organizing many relevant business events and networking functions.
Profile:
You are an extrovert and service minded person, who can conduct yourself professionally with any group of people. You are business minded and know how business is conducted in Thailand as one of your main tasks is to organize relevant events and to communicate with all the members. The livelihood of a non-profit organization such as a chamber is its members and therefore enthusiasm and perseverance in retaining and recruiting members is essential.
Job responsibility:
The Executive Director runs a small office with staff and work in very close association with the Board of Directors and its various Committees. The ED oversees all DTCC activities including: assisting members, participate in various meetings within the Chamber arena, internal & external media, organizing business events & finding speakers, coordinate accounting matters with the outsourced accounting company etc.
Qualification:
1.Energetic, enthusiastic, pleasant personality, strong self-initiative & service minded, good communicator
2.Excellent command of written & spoken English. Danish language skills would be advantageous, but not a requirement
3.Good computer skills (MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Database, E-mail & Internet and website set up)
Remuneration:
According to qualifications, and within the budget allocation for the ED position.
