Danish Princess to Visit Aid Projects in Cambodia

When Danish Princess Marie visits Cambodia from 9 to 12 October, it will be her first trip as patroness of DanChurchAid. She will be accompanied be Secretary General Henrik Stubkjaer.

Princess Marie will visit a women’s shelter, an education centre for orphans and DanChurchAid projects aimed to improve living conditions in poor rural areas.

“I am pleased to accompany the Princess on this visit. I know she is looking forward to visit our projects. Her commitment in DanChurchAid is focused on helping those most needy in this world,” Henrik Stubkjaer said.

According to DanChurchAid almost one third of the Cambodians are extremely poor. Climate changes and a power elite on a large scale grabs land previously cultivated by poor peasants worsening living conditions of the poor.
