ScandAsia went down to Style:Nordic yesterday to check out some authentic homemade ginger cookie baking in the store by Monique, a Swede who’s been living in Singapore for the past four years and a former employee at Style:Nordic.
The traditional Christmas drink, Glögg was served with almonds and raisins with the freshly baked pepparkakor.
Swedish Ginger Cookies
Sugar 3dl
Syrup golden 1/2dl
Water 1dl
Butter/Margarine 200gr
Tangerine skin (shredded/powder) 1 Tbsp
Cinnamon powder 1-2 Tbsp
Clove powder ½ Tbsp
Ginger powder ½ Tbsp
Cardamom powder 2 tsp
Bicarbonate 2 tsp
Flour plain approx 1 litre
