Norway’s DiGi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd is rewarding its customers with a concert and party, the “DiGi-988 A Party 2007”, to entertain Malaysian customers on 21 July 2007 at 7pm in Outdoor Carpark of the Bukit Jalil National Stadium.
Loong Tuck Weng, DiGi’s Head of Segments and Marketing, in explaining the party rationale to the Malaysian media said, “We create DiGi Rewards by ensuring that we deliver exactly what our customers want, which is world-class entertainment, and money-can’t-buy access to their favorite stars. And what better way than to bring a bunch of world class entertainers under one roof to our customers.”
Party-goers will also get the chance to be entertained by DiGi Celebriteen finalists and the Yellow Coverage Fellow as they perform live alongside the stars. Although the concert will officially start at 7pm, the party area will be ready for fun and games by 5pm, and party-goers can participate in various fun activities and get a chance to meet with their favourite stars.
DiGi will also be presenting awards to 988 DJs with a special promo for “DJ-voting”. The “DiGi Choice Male DJ Award” and the “DiGi Choice Female DJ Award” will be decided by the most downloaded content of the respective DJs. For the first time ever, there will be DJ mobile content including wallpaper and VO true-tones made available exclusively for DiGi customers.
Other awards that will be presented during the party are “988 Huge Improvement DJ Award”, “988 Most Energetic Program Award”, “988 Most Fun Program Award” and “988 Best Partner DJ Award”.
For party tickets, loyal DiGi customers will get invitations via SMS to redeem passes, and exclusive DiGi-only Mosh Pit access tickets. In addition to that, 100 lucky DiGi customers will also get a chance to meet and greet their favorite stars at an after party with the stars.
“Our customers are the VIPs at this party. We are giving away more than 8,000 tickets to all our customers. We have also ensured that the mosh pit, which is the party’s most exclusive area, is reserved specially for 2,000 of our most loyal customers, proving that it is really more rewarding to be a DiGi customer,” said DiGi’s Head of Marcom, Jeanette Lee.
