Danish Lego is building their first Legoland Theme Park in South Malaysia. It is announced to open in 2012 and will be the 6. of its kind in the world. Other parks besides the first in Billund, Denmark is in California, Florida, Germany and Great Britain. To build Lego’s new park it takes 30 million Lego bricks and the Malaysian brickbuilders are already in progress. The park will offer 40 rides and models of Malaysian buildings as the Petrona Towers.
2010 has been a year of growth more than expected for Lego. Especially in the U.S, Russia, Great Britain and East Europe with all were pointed as markets for growth, says Jørgen Vig Knudstorp, CEO. Lego is now the world’s fourth largest toy manufacturer.
