
Thousands of passengers are being impacted as a wave of flight disruptions is hitting major airports across Asia, Travel and Tour World reports.
Nearly 2,800 flights are delayed and more than 300 cancelled across key hubs in Bangkok, Tokyo, Kuala Lumpur, Shanghai and Hong Kong.
Among the hardest hit is Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport in China with 763 delays and 15 cancellations, followed by Shanghai Pudong International Airport reporting 307 delays and 13 cancellations.
In Southeast Asia, Kuala Lumpur International Airport records 450 delays and three cancellations, while Hong Kong International Airport sees 257 delays and three cancellations.
In Thailand, Suvarnabhumi Airport reports 261 delays and three cancellations, and Don Mueang International Airport records 155 delays with no cancellations.
In Japan, Haneda Airport sees 244 delays and one cancellation, while Narita International Airport reports 141 delays and one cancellation.
Airlines are also heavily affected. China Southern Airlines leads with 421 delays, followed by AirAsia with 191 and China Eastern Airlines with 183 delays and nine cancellations.
Passengers are advised to check flight status before heading to the airport and allow extra time for possible delays.
