A Norwegian man was Monday night shot and killed in the Philippines in what appears to be an ordering killing, reports VG Nett.

The dramatic incident occurred at 10.40pm Monday on the resort island of Bohol in the Philippines, said local police.

A victim of Norwegian nationality, in his 50s, was out with his Filipino girlfriend when a motorcycle with two men came up besides them.

One of the men walked up slowly to the Norwegian and shot him in the stomach.

The shooter and his companion drove away quickly from crime scene. The Norwegian man was taken to hospital by private car, but he was declared dead on arrival.

Police in Bohol reported that they have information that the Norwegian was a few weeks earlier having conflicts with his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend.

Police put murder in connection with the incident, but stressed that they are also investigating other possible motives.
