Pattaya: Charity Jam Concert Sunday

The Scandinavian Expat Club Pattaya welcomes you to the season’s biggest Charity concert this coming Sunday!

Why? Because they have a dream. Yes- it’s still possible here in 2011 to have a heart burning or beating for helping others.

But the people at Scandinavian Expat Club can’t do it alone. They need you guys to support to build a new building for the orphanage Baan Jing Jai.

Baan Jing Jai is an orphanage located in Pattaya, Chonburi district, being established and running since 2001 and financed by sponsorships, money and equipment donations.

For the time being the orphanage are housing 80 children. But the buildings are rented, very old, cumbersome and providing little space for the children.

It’s too small and narrow. Playing areas and common rooms aren’t big enough. And at the top of that all children have to sleep on the floor.

That’s why it is now decided to build a brand new and fully equipped orphanage, aiming to have it ready in 2013. Land is already purchased and construction can start as soon we have the money.

The budget is 15 mio. Bath and a Norwegian construction company in Pattaya will build for material cost only. The project will be financed by sponsorships and donations, both organised in Norway and Thailand.

Scandinavian Expat Club Pattaya has supported the orphanage since its start in 2003 with money and gifts, and is now member of the building Committee in Thailand organising the fund raisings, in corporation with other organisations.

The Charity Jam concert is the first fund raising arrangement for the project, but there will be arranged a number of activities for this good cause during this year and in 2012. The same will be done in Norway as well.

Time: Sunday the 24th April at 7:00 pm

Place: At Green Tree Restaurant & Pub

Pattaya Beach Road, Soi 1. Pattaya
