China will work with Finland to further enhance their relationship, strengthen cooperation in areas including investment, innovation and environmental protection, and push forward bilateral relations.

Katainen said Finland attaches high importance to its relationship with China, and he is looking forward to issuing a joint document with China on implementation of the presidents’ consensus.

He welcomed more Chinese companies to invest in Finland, and voiced support for an early start on investment agreement negotiations between the European Union and China so as to promote Finland-China and EU-China cooperation.

Katainen also attended the annual meeting of the Summer Davos Forum, which opened on September 11 in the Liaoning Province city of Dalian. Li attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech.
