Sweden is backing a new push to unlock billions for climate action in Southeast Asia, as governments across ASEAN meet this week.
The talks, led by UNDP and hosted by Philippines, aim to turn climate promises into real investments.
Money is the key issue.
Countries are under pressure to figure out how to fund climate projects, track spending and deal with the growing economic impact of climate change.
Sweden is among the countries supporting the initiative, alongside the UK and Canada, as Southeast Asia ramps up efforts to finance the green transition.
The two-day meeting takes place online on April 29–30.
