SAS will expand its flight services to Thailand during the 2026–27 winter season, adding new routes to Phuket and Krabi while increasing capacity on its existing Copenhagen–Bangkok route.

The Scandinavian airline will launch direct flights from Copenhagen to Phuket on December 9, 2026, operating two to three times a week. A new Copenhagen–Krabi route will follow on December 8, with two weekly flights.

Both new routes will be operated with Airbus A350 aircraft and are scheduled to run through late March 2027.

SAS will also increase capacity on its Copenhagen–Bangkok route by 15 percent compared with the previous winter season. Overall, the airline says its capacity to Thailand will increase by more than 75 percent.

The expansion comes as SAS continues to strengthen its long-haul network from Copenhagen, which serves as its main hub. The airline is also adding capacity to destinations elsewhere in Asia, including Seoul and Tokyo.

For Nordic travellers, the new services will provide additional direct connections to two of Thailand’s major tourist destinations, while the increased Bangkok capacity will strengthen an existing route between Scandinavia and Southeast Asia.

The new flights are expected to support travel between the Nordic countries and Thailand during the winter months, when Thailand traditionally attracts large numbers of Scandinavian visitors.

SAS has not announced any new direct routes from other Nordic capitals as part of the Thailand expansion. The new Phuket and Krabi services will instead operate from Copenhagen, offering connections to the wider SAS network in Scandinavia and Northern Europe.
