Tourism Malaysia director in Sweden, Azizul Raheem Awaluddin, and his wife Shalwati Norshal were sentenced on 29 March to jail and ordered to pay compensation to their children after they were found guilty of repeated gross violation of integrity of their children and hitting them.
Judge Mattias Moller of the Solna District Court, in a written verdict, sentenced Azizul to 10 months’ jail, while Shalwati received a 14-month jail term.
