Sweden’s Ambassador to Vietnam, Johan Ndisi, joined representatives from six garment and textile factories as they marked their participation in a 12-month initiative facilitated by the Swedish Workplace Programme.
The factories, located in northern and central Vietnam, took part in practical training and peer coaching focused on workplace dialogue, cooperation and joint problem-solving.
According to the Embassy of Sweden in Hanoi, managers and worker representatives shared experiences, built trust and developed new approaches to addressing challenges together at the workplace.
The Swedish Workplace Programme is jointly implemented by the International Council of Swedish Industry, NIR, and Swedish trade union IF Metall. It promotes cooperation between employees and management, including on issues such as health, safety and working conditions.
The Swedish Embassy acknowledged the six participating factory teams as well as H&M, NIR, IF Metall and the Swedish Workplace Programme for their involvement in the initiative.
The embassy did not disclose the names of the participating factories or provide specific measurable results from the programme.
