The Danish tournament organiser BLAST Premier has signed a multi-year partnership with the Singapore Tourism Board to bring four additional esports events to Singapore.
Founded in 2020 by Nikolaj Nyholm, Blast Premier is known for Counter-Strike tournaments attracting thousands of fans from across the world. Blast Premier 2024 World final was a sold-out Counter-Strike event at Resorts World Convention Centre in Singapore with a million dollar prize pool.
The new deal with the Singapore Tourism Board builds on BLAST’s growing presence in Asia. The titles for the upcoming events have yet to be announced.
“BLAST has major global ambitions as a leader in esports and competitive entertainment and we are delighted to expand our partnership with Singapore,” said Leo Matlock, Chief Business Officer at BLAST.
“We are incredibly excited to be making a long-term commitment to the region through this new partnership with the Singapore Tourism Board.”
According to the organisers, the partnership is expected to strengthen Singapore’s position as a regional hub for esports, while generating tens of millions in economic impact through job creation and visitor spending.
BLAST has been expanding its international reach in 2025, entering the Indian market through a deal with Reliance, opening offices in New York, and signing a three-year agreement with GamingMalta to host CS2 and Dota 2 events.
