Finnish researchers are developing a nasal spray COVID-19 vaccine.
The vaccine is based on research carried out at the University of Helsinki and the Itä-Suomen yliopisto – University of Eastern Finland (UEF). Clinical trials will undergo in the coming months and production facilities are stand ready.
Currently ongoing vaccination programmes around the world do not eliminate the need for new vaccines, as new variants are expected to cause new waves of infection.
