Confirmed: Foreigners in Phuket Thailand will receive Covid-19 vaccine

Dr. Chalermpong of Vachira Phuket Hospital recently announced that foreigners will be included and receive Covid-19 vaccines as part of the Thai government’s vaccination scheme, local media The Thaiger reports.

Dr. Chalermpong is an important member of The Phuket Communicable Disease Committee which enacts all Coronavirus policies locally.

Phuket’s Vice Governor advised that initial appointments will be made online only through a newly launched online form and people who do not have online access are requested to be patient and not walk into hospitals.

The first 100,000 doses of vaccines that will be arriving in Phuket are for registered residents and people from other provinces that work in tourism, but the next batch will be open to other industries as well as foreigners and Dr. Chalermpong confirmed that eligibility for inoculation will be wide.

“All people on the island who are older than 18 years old but younger than 60 years old are eligible to be vaccinated, including people registered as living in Phuket, those who are from other provinces, and foreigners,” Dr. Chalermpong said.

  1. I could import my vaccine from Germany,
    via DHL medic
but no one,no hospital no doctor will vaccinate me.

Why, it’s against the law !!!!!!

    Crazy under the given circumstances
    worldwide.
They should be happy if people can help
    themselves and not block it.

  2. I do not understand this. Expats along with other foreigners should qualify. This virus does not care what country we come from.

  4. Agreed Ksenya. I went to Bangkok Hospital in Phuket today and was told no foreigners can receive the vaccine. June will be the earliest. I was told I could leave my name and phone number and the marketing department would get ahold of me. What?

  5. That’s not true. We went to Vachira Hospital today and they denied that the news was correct, no vaccination to foreigners.
