Indonesian and Swedish citizens injured in UAE missile and drone attacks

On March 30, 2026, the United Arab Emirates’ air defence systems intercepted 11 ballistic missiles and 27 drones launched from Iran, the UAE Ministry of Defence reports.

Since the beginning of Iran’s attacks, UAE defences have intercepted a total of 425 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles, and 1,941 drones.

The strikes have caused casualties. Eleven people were killed, including two UAE armed forces members, a Moroccan civilian contractor, and eight foreign nationals.

Additionally, 178 people were injured, with citizens from over 30 countries affected.

Among the wounded were citizens from Indonesia and Sweden. No further information is available regarding their condition or whether they have returned home.

The UAE Ministry of Defence emphasized that it remains fully prepared to respond to threats and is committed to protecting the country’s security, sovereignty and stability.
