Carlsberg Malaysia has announced a new 141,000$ partnership with Malaysia Forest Fund to support forest biodiversity conservation projects across Malaysia.
The partnership was announced on 25 May during an event at the residence of Rafael Daerr in Kuala Lumpur, held in connection with the International Day for Biological Diversity 2026.
According to Carlsberg Malaysia Managing Director Stefano Clini, the initiative marks the company’s first forest conservation project under its refreshed ESG programme, Brewing Tomorrow. He said healthy forest ecosystems are essential for water quality and long-term environmental resilience.
Under the partnership, environmental NGOs will be able to apply for grants managed by the Malaysia Forest Fund to support projects involving forest protection, biodiversity conservation, water catchment areas and local communities.
Carlsberg Malaysia is also a founding member of the Green Transition Alliance, an initiative led by the Embassy of Denmark in Malaysia to promote public-private cooperation on sustainability and green transition projects in Malaysia.
During the event, Carlsberg Malaysia also presented its Brewing Tomorrow ESG programme, which focuses on cutting carbon emissions, protecting nature, inspiring consumer choices and empowering people.
