Yubico AB, a Swedish tech company that makes the YubiKey, has opened a new global headquarters in Singapore.
A YubiKey is a small physical security “key” you plug in or tap to prove it is really you when logging in.
The company says the Singapore office is its third headquarters, alongside Stockholm and Santa Clara in the United States.
It said the move is meant to strengthen its presence in Asia Pacific.
Yubico said the Singapore site will handle practical business functions, including supply chain, operations, sales, and administration.
It also said the office will support regional growth and hiring.
The company said it plans to work with organisations such as government agencies, banks, and other critical industries
It aims to help them reduce account hacks by using hardware-backed logins instead of passwords alone.
Yubico also said it has donated security keys to youth-led cybersecurity clubs in Singapore through its philanthropic programme.
It said it plans to expand partnerships with local schools, universities, and community groups.
