Young Dane participates in building e-commerce Company in the Philippines

Steffen Wulff Petersen from Denmark is in charge of Lazada’s warehouse and logistics needs. The German own company plans to be the number one e-commerce company in the Philippines by end of the year.

He is one of five young professionals from different parts of the globe, who were brought together to the Philippines by the same goal: To help make Lazada the biggest in the country.

“I used to work in London, then I decided on the Philippines and Lazada. I think the Philippines is a great country. Everybody speaks great English. It’s a country with great demographics. There are a lot of things about the country and as a business opportunity it’s probably the best in my mind,” says Steffen Wulff Petersen.

With a single click, customers can choose from a wide array of items that go with free shipping, secure credit card and payment system, return within 14 days, and fast delivery within two days. The service is available in Metro Manila and across the islands.

From a team of only three people in January, Lazada now counts 260 employees.
