Norwegian Tsunami Victims Toll Now 84

Three more Norwegians have been officially identified as fatalities in the tsunami catastrophe that struck Southeast Asia just after last Christmas, reported Norwegian news agency NTB in early March 2005.
     According the newly updated lists compiled by the National Criminal Investigation Service (NCIS), 63 are now dead and 21 are still missing.
     Superintendent Reidar Nilsen, who is leading the Norwegian identification team in Thailand expects the work to continue for several months. “The Norwegian group will be here as long as there are Norwegians missing, said Nielsen to the newspaper Aftenposten.
     To secure the identifications various methods are being used; such as x-rays, fingerprints and dental and DNA testing.
