Danish Embassy in Vietnam has provided a grant of DKK 486.000 to Vietnamese Department for Social Affairs, a specialist support unit under the Committee for Social Affairs of the National Assembly to enhance their knowledge on domestic violence in general, to build the capacity of the Committee in the legal aspects related to combating domestic violence, and more importantly to advocate for the development of the Law on Domestic Violence.
This project will provide information and recommend feasible measures to the drafting process of the Law on Domestic Violence, which is now ongoing and is expected to be ready for adoption by the National Assembly in 2007.
