The recent cartoon controversy reminded us not only of how small our world has become, but also of the powerful impact the media has on the world’s communities. It may be an indication of new challenges lying ahead,” states in the official site of the Global Inter-Media Dialogue.
The Global Inter-Media Dialogue will be a forum for leading media actors from more than 40 different countries and cultures to discuss ways and means of promoting freedom of expression and greater tolerance. The dialogue will give participants on outstanding opportunity to exchange experiences, and define the challenges and issues confronting the media in the 21st century.
