Mascot International A/S, the Danish work wear company, on September 13 signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the local authorities of the Bac Giang province in the north of Hanoi.
Deputy Prime Minister of Denmark Mr. Bendt Bendtsen was invited to attend the signing ceremony which took place at the city hall of Bac Giang.
“Mascot’s investment will be beneficial for the Bac Giang province as it will contribute – directly and indirectly – to the creation of many hundreds of jobs to your citizens” Mr. Bendt Bendtsen expressed his delight to see Mascot investing in the Bac Giang province.
Moreover, he emphasized the importance of a strong effort from the authorities to ensure the necessary preconditions to a successful establishment and implementation of the project.
The signing ceremony also included the honor speeches by Production Director of Mascot Int., Carsten Pinnerup, the Chairman of Bac Giang’s People’s Committee, Mr. Than Van Muu.
Chairman Muu fully recognised the need to fulfil the preconditions and underlined the importance that the Mascot investment would have to the local area.
The attendance of the Danish Deputy Prime Minister was a strong indication to the authorities in Bac Giang that Mascot’s investment has the attention of the Danish government.
