Deputy PM Holds Corruption Talks with International Donors

Prime Minister Nguyen Vinh Trong was having open discussions on May 18 in Hanoi with international donors in an attempt to fight corruption.
The Swedish Ambassador to Vietnam, Rolf Bergman, who co-chaired the event pointed that Vietnam would have to identify the responsibly agencies who has been charged with corruption.
“The Vietnamese government has already displayed its willingness to work with international donors on cracking down on the problem through its organization of the event“ says Rolf Bergman.
The dialogue will now be held twice a year prior to the Consultative Group Meeting. It will be coordinated by the Government Inspectorate and the Swedish Embassy in Vietnam to increase the co- operation between Vietnam and its donors and is expected to become a more open forum, as the gear up for the mid- term Consultative Group.
