Norway’s Atlantic Oil Field Services (AOS) has been bought by Singapore’s oil & gas services firm KS Energy Services for US$80 million on May 28, 2007.
Under the acquisition, KS Energy will gain from AOS’s 225 years of expertise in specialized services such as onshore and offshore drilling, accomodation and support services for oil and gas industry. KS Energy’s network will also expand to countries where AOS currently operates which include the North Sea, the Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Greece, Egypt, Africa, India and the Middle East.
Through AOS, KS Energy will now have access to a yard, workshop, fabrication and facilities in Dubai and gets to carry on with the current AOS’s projects worth over US$68 million.
