Acting on behalf of His Majesty the King of Sweden, the Ambassador of Sweden to Thailand H.E. Mr Jonas Hafström decorated H.E. Mr Anand Panyarachun with the degree Commander Grand Cross of the Royal Order of the Polar Star which is the highest degree a non-royal person can receive on June 5, 2007.
H.E. Mr Anand Panyarachun received the decoration in recognition for his outstanding accomplishments and dedicated work as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT).
