Mascot to Make Safety Model in Vietnam

Danish Embassy will coordinate with the Danish garment company, Mascot, to make the safety model available for other contractors and local authorities in Vietnam through an information campaign to promote safety in the workplace. Danida is supporting the project with a grant.
A new Danish initiative will now put a strong focus on occupational health and safety in Hai Duong province. With the assistance of Danida, the Danish Garment Corporation Mascot International A/S will turn its building site into a role model for health and safety in the work place.
“We have contracted four Vietnamese companies to build our new factory and a warehouse. It is very obvious to us that the management and the workers of these contractors can benefit greatly by improving safety measures,” said Mascot CEO Michael Grosbøl.
