The Danish-Thai Chamber of Commerce has announced the appointment of the new Executive Director, Mr. Gert N. M. Christensen. The appointment takes effect from January 15, 2008.
Gert Christensen is Danish, 35 years old, married to Mrs. Linda Jakobsen, the Commercial Counsellor at the Royal Danish Embassy in Bangkok, and with two sons, 6 months and 11 years old. The family has recently arrived in Bangkok and is now in the settling-in phase.
Gert Christensen has a Master of political science (M.Sc.) with 7 years of experience as a consultant to the Minister of Social Affairs in Denmark. In his own words he says: “I’m skilled in overlooking projects that move ahead with various interests and purposes involved. I come along with a smile, and have a natural approach in networking. I like to have ‘hands on’ in planning and steering processes such as events and major conferences”.
Gert is replacing Mr. Michael Nilsson, who is relocating to Canada with his family in the beginning of 2008. We will have the opportunity of saying farewell to Michael at the Danish Chamber’s Christmas lunch on the 7th December at the Siam Society venue.
