Sweden And Norway Denied Issuing Travel Warnings

A story titled “Alerts issued on travelling to Thailand”, published on page 4 of yesterday’s Bangkok Post, said that a number of countries had issued “warnings” to tourists about the violence earlier this week between police and anti-government protesters.
Sweden and Norway and denied issuing any travel advisories warning their citizens against travel to Thailand.
Diplomats said their governments had only urged their citizens to exercise due care, keep away from demonstration areas and large crowds, monitor the media and listen to advice from local authorities. No official advisories had been made to suggest travellers postpone or cancel their visits to the country.
