SAS Closes Stockholm-Bangkok route

Due to massive financial crises the Scandinavian airline SAS plans to shut down several long distance routes – including the direct route between Stockholm and Bangkok.


On the other hand the airline intends to increase the number of departures between Copenhagen and Bangkok declares Niclas Härenstam from SAS Sweden.


According to the agency Travelbroker SAS is also going to close the regular routes between Copenhagen and New Delhi, Beijing and Seattle – and plans to announce further closings of routes in the next couple of weeks.      


2008 was a catastrophic year for SAS with a deficit on 4,4 billion Danish kroner.
