According to Clive Small, a former Australian police commissioner, the murderer of Frederik van Pallandt from the Danish folk duo Nina and Frederik is in the Philippines. In his book Smack Express about drug-related crime Clive Small points out the British criminal Ronald Milhench as the assassin, who shot the singer dead in the Philippines.
Frederik van Pallandt was the son of the Dutch ambassador in Denmark and along with then-wife Nina Wessel he gained great success with both Danish and English songs in the 1960’ties. In 1969 Frederik divorced Nina and moved to the Philippines where he was killed in 1994 – supposingly in a drug-related disagreement. Clive Small is assured that Ronald Milhench, who never has been trailed for the murder, now lives somewhere in the Philippines
