Tanks to Create Artificial Life in Thai Water

The ecosystem in the Gulf og Thailand needs a boost.

A rusty collection of army trucks and disused army tanks are to form an artificial underwater structure. They are supposed to provide shelter for marine life and boost local fish stocks, states The Telegraph.

Last year, the Thailand government announced a three month ban on fishing in parts of the Gulf of Thailand in an attempt to improve breeding and replenish fish stocks.

Right now, a wide-ranging marine conservations policy is being enacted in Thailand to preserve fish stocks and keep the seafood industry afloat.

The vehicles were lowered into the sea on monday – off the coast of Narathiwat.
