Finland will receive Schengen visa applications on behalf of Estonia at the Consulate General of Finland in Shanghai starting from 01.08.2010. Application process and requirements will be similar as when applying a Schengen visa to Finland.
It is no longer necessary to travel from Shanghai all the way to the Embassy of Estonia in Beijing to apply for a visa to Estonia. Applications can be submitted to the Consulate General of Finland in Shanghai.
Schengen-area includes: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Malta, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Norway, The Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland and Sweden.
One can apply for a Schengen visa from an embassy or consulate of the main destination country. If the main destination is difficult to define, the application must be submitted to an embassy/consulate of the country where one will stay the longest period of time. If the stay is as long in every country, the application must be submitted to the embassy/consulate of the first destination country.
